Drew began his career in the hotel industry more than 30 years ago as a manager and developer. He has held senior level management positions with major hotel chains, including multi-unit company owned hotels. Additionally, he has expertise in franchise and management company negotiations. His involvement in the hospitality industry includes hands-on experience with virtually all product segments.
Drew was the owner/operator of the Ambassador Hotel in Washington, D.C., and during the 1980's was the founder and president of Homanco, the largest operator of franchised Residence Inns by Marriott. Since then he has consulted with major hotel companies, lending institutions and corporations on a wide range of hospitality issues.
Drew has been a guest lecturer at Michigan State and Cornell University School of Hotel Management. Kenneth Blanchard, co-author of The One-Minute Manager, has dubbed him the "one-minute hotel turnaround manager." Drew received a degree in business from George Washington University, in Washington, DC, and his Arbitration and Mediation Certification from the Institute of Conflict Management, in Santa Monica, California.
Drew is a co-founder and Chair Emeritus of the International Society of Hospitality Consultants (ISHC), a professional organization with over 200 members in 18 countries, and has also served on the boards of the Massachusetts and Tennessee Hotel and Motel Associations. He is an active allied member of the American Hotel and Lodging Association as well as a member of the AHLA's Council of Inns and Suites.
Drew Dimond is a member of the International Society of Hospitality Consultants, the American Hotel and Lodging Association, the American Bankruptcy Institute, and the Urban Land Institute.
Kelly has twenty years experience in the hospitality industry. Since joining the firm in 2006 on a project basis she has focused on impact, marketing and economic feasibility reports. Her background includes positions as a Sales and Marketing Manager for various Marriott and Hyatt hotels. Her responsibilities included the Corporate and Association segments. She has experience in the International Travel and Japanese Corporate markets as well. Kelly has worked as Consultant to the Greenville, South Carolina Convention and Visitors Bureau concentrating on market specific projects, citywide and Sports events. She has traveled extensively and has a vast understanding of different communities and their markets. She has a B.A. Marketing degree from the University of North Dakota. Her language skills include Spanish and Japanese.
